Remember that dining suite you bought a few years ago which was the height of fashion or perhaps the one bought before you had a houseful of kids who thought the chairs were for swinging on and kicking?  Recovering the upholstery or using loose covers can be a very cost-effective way of bringing the upholstery up-to-date or hiding some of the unsightly marks which are a feature of any dining furniture.  Rather than throw it away and buy new, find out whether your upholstery could be recovered.

The chair shown below is one of a set of four which were some years old.  Although still of a contemporary design, the fabric originally used was dated, worn and just did not fit with the decor of the room.  After choosing a coordinating fabric which matched the remaining decor, these chairs were given a new lease of life by simply re-upholstering.

When thinking about recovering, remember that it is some of the finer details, such as beading, tassels, buttons or ties which can give your upholstery that touch of Sheer Elegance.
