A Roman Blind provides a tailored window dressing suitable for all windows.

As always there are an endless number of choices for fabrics and finishing touches - consider using a second fabric for edging the blind in a contrasting colour or perhaps think about how the top of the blind could be made somewhat different from normal.  Perhaps you want blinds you can let down to stop the glare of the sun but still let light through.  With Sheer Elegance the choice is yours.

It's perhaps not obvious from the picture but a Roman Blind has been fitted to this window in a light muslin.  There were two reasons for this: one was the fact that it is in a south facing dining room which can make the room uncomfortable when the sun is shining directly in.  By lowering the blind, there is still lots of light coming through but the glare and the heat of the sun are kept out.  The second reason for using the blind is simply that it looks good.  The light colour and clean edges of the blind add interest and effect to the overall look of the window.

Here we have a simple blind used in a bedroom.  The colours of the room have been accentuated by using a complimentary set of colours in the Roman Blind and associated Swags and Tails.  The Swags are simply draped over a pole which has been chosen to match the decor of the room.
